Happy Birthday Sister Sue!

Cute cupcake toppers, a personalised chalk board sign and snack sacks for the candy station and gift bags!

I bought a package of white curtains from Target for $19. There were 2 curtains in the pack that were about 30 or so inches wide. I took them home and laid them out onto a piece of painters paper (you can find a HUGE roll of it at Lowes for $9... great for projects, wrapping gifts and just because!), taped them off and started painting. this is how it turned out... not too bad really.
The butterfly's were found at Ross for only $5! Now that's a find!

Candy worthy of a princess! Purple EVERYTHING!

And the Princess herself! One Happy Little Girl!

Get Hooked!

My husband's 38th birthday was on Memorial Day and we were lucky enough to spend it out on the water catching fish! He loves to hunt, fish, play outside and get dirty. Quiet honestly he's a little boy trapped in a grown man's body! LOL I came up with these special toppers just for him. I hope ya'll like them 1/2 as much as I do....

Open House Booth

A few months ago I was asked to do an open house for a friend of mine who owns a photography studio here in Baytown. I was a little skeptical because so much of my stuff is personalised and custom ordered. However it seemed to go well and I was able to meet and greet sever customers and potential customers. I believe I'll be doing something similar to this again soon since it was a success! Here's a look at my booth that I put together with a little help from my wonderful husband and Pinterst of course! Hope you like what you see...

Valentines day in May

I know this is going backward a few months, however I thought it would be nice to show everyone that invitations and cupcake toppers aren't just for parties! When Valentines day rolled around this past year I struggled to find something cute and unique for my kids to share with their class as valentines. So of course I turned to PINTEREST ... That website is my go to for everything! I'm in love I tell ya! Anyways after looking for days I found a few ideas I thought I would make my own....

For my son I found this a perfect fit! I ran to Michael's and bought a few mustache chocolate molds and made mustaches for everyone. Then I used a picture that my sister in law took You can see her handy work here and converted it into a small card. I then cut two small slits into the card just big enough for the stick to fit threw. Added a cute slogan and I was done!

You can order your unique valentines from Little Stitches, they are printed on a 4x6 photo card and can be as unique as you are!

My daughter was next. She's a little DIVA so she was a little harder to impress. LOL I had her planned out for weeks before Valentines day even came around. So when my SIL was taking pictures I asked her to pose my daughter this way... I think at the time she thought I was nuts! LOL. But it worked! I found the perfect sized round sucker to with my toppers that I had stuck into the card. Once again these are a 4x6 photo card with a slit cut to hold the sucker.

See cupcake toppers aren't just for cupcakes!!

Now go fourth an be crafty my friends!

Teachers Week!

Good morning everyone!
This week is Teachers Appreciation Week. So I wanted to share some of my ideas for thanking our teachers for everything they do each and every day.
My kids go to one of the very best day schools a parent could ask for. I love it there and I love the teachers almost as much as my kiddos do. So it's important to us to show just how much we love them.
Each day I'll post a photo of ideas for teachers week I'll also post a free printable that you can download and print for your very own project. I hope you enjoy or at the very least get inspired to thank your teachers!

MONDAY

I found these super cute heart shaped measuring spoons at the Party store for $5.00. They were even already packaged and ready to give. You can't beat that! However I had to make it personal and cute... SOOO. I came up with this cute slogan and gift tag.

Click Here for a FREE download!
Just open in photoshop or paint and add your childs name at the bottom!
Then punch a hole in the top center about 1/2 down and tie with a ribbon around the package. That's it. You'll have a super cute personalized gift in minutes!
Here's what it will look like in the end....

Tuesday

Today is a really quick and easy thing to do! All I did was create a cute card with a cute saying and bought donuts for the class to share. That way everyone could join in the fun!

Now all you need to do is click this link Free Donut Clipart and start creating your very own card.
Mine reads
We DONUT know what we would do without our Day School Teachers!

Wednesday

Wednesday's project takes a little sewing... if you want to that is. I made a template from a Starbucks cup cuff adding a 5/8 seam allowance to all sides after I traced it. Then I cut 1 from a printed fabric, 1 from a piece of felt and 1 from a piece of flannel. Next I sandwiched the three together (right sides together with the felt on the bottom- printed fabric, flannel then felt). Then I trimmed a small piece of elastic about 3in long but you could easily use a elastic hair band if you wanted too. I placed it between the printed fabric and flannel (loop part goes inside the sewn area). Then sew all sides leaving a small opening for turning. Make sure you trim all edges and iron flat. Now your ready to top stitch your project shut. And add a button!
(quick tip for the button.... I folded the cuff in 1/2 bringing both sides to the middle then stretched the elastic until it was taught but not stretched out then mark where the button should go with a pen)

SOOO.... this is how I put it all together. I went to Starbucks and bought a few $5 gift cards. While I was there I asked for a few empty cups with lids ...Oh and a cuff. Then I stuffed the cups with shredded paper and printed this cute little tag. I punched a hole in the gift card and tied it to the tag. It seemed to work a little better.

Now go fourth and be crafty my friends!
