Teachers Week!

Good morning everyone!
This week is Teachers Appreciation Week. So I wanted to share some of my ideas for thanking our teachers for everything they do each and every day.
My kids go to one of the very best day schools a parent could ask for. I love it there and I love the teachers almost as much as my kiddos do. So it's important to us to show just how much we love them.
Each day I'll post a photo of ideas for teachers week I'll also post a free printable that you can download and print for your very own project. I hope you enjoy or at the very least get inspired to thank your teachers!

MONDAY

I found these super cute heart shaped measuring spoons at the Party store for $5.00. They were even already packaged and ready to give. You can't beat that! However I had to make it personal and cute... SOOO. I came up with this cute slogan and gift tag.

Click Here for a FREE download!
Just open in photoshop or paint and add your childs name at the bottom!
Then punch a hole in the top center about 1/2 down and tie with a ribbon around the package. That's it. You'll have a super cute personalized gift in minutes!
Here's what it will look like in the end....

Now go fourth and be crafty my friends!

Tuesday

Today is a really quick and easy thing to do! All I did was create a cute card with a cute saying and bought donuts for the class to share. That way everyone could join in the fun!

Now all you need to do is click this link Free Donut Clipart and start creating your very own card.
Mine reads
We DONUT know what we would do without our Day School Teachers!

Wednesday

Wednesday's project takes a little sewing... if you want to that is. I made a template from a Starbucks cup cuff adding a 5/8 seam allowance to all sides after I traced it. Then I cut 1 from a printed fabric, 1 from a piece of felt and 1 from a piece of flannel. Next I sandwiched the three together (right sides together with the felt on the bottom- printed fabric, flannel then felt). Then I trimmed a small piece of elastic about 3in long but you could easily use a elastic hair band if you wanted too. I placed it between the printed fabric and flannel (loop part goes inside the sewn area). Then sew all sides leaving a small opening for turning. Make sure you trim all edges and iron flat. Now your ready to top stitch your project shut. And add a button!
(quick tip for the button.... I folded the cuff in 1/2 bringing both sides to the middle then stretched the elastic until it was taught but not stretched out then mark where the button should go with a pen)

SOOO.... this is how I put it all together. I went to Starbucks and bought a few $5 gift cards. While I was there I asked for a few empty cups with lids ...Oh and a cuff. Then I stuffed the cups with shredded paper and printed this cute little tag. I punched a hole in the gift card and tied it to the tag. It seemed to work a little better.

Now go fourth and be crafty my friends!
